What started as finkenstein's cautionary tale about Hot Topic has turned into a meme that has been continued by me, and started earlier today by at *least* the following people (meaning there may be more -- I just haven't seen them):
Is it my imagination, but are you the same jl_williams that in one day added me to your friends list and then on the same day you removed me from your friends list. I really do not care, but do you mind explaining what happened? And did you notice that in your "friends-only ... comment to be added" you have your comments turned off making it impossible to be added?
...Actually, it occurs to me that not liking a picture you put behind a cut is a really dumb reason to un-friend a dude -- so I'ma pretend I never did it.
Cool?
(Oh... and it isn't impossible to be added, evidently. :P)
Fair enough ... I mean, yes, the latest illustration was offensive. In fact, it was meant to be offensive as the point. In a world full of comic book geeks sitting around and talking about butts, I am surprised I am the first one who actually drew one. I thought about putting it as a friends only post, but figured if I put it under a cut with a warning (since I was linking it to the butthead list. We have 29 fink soaps of the like now!
Rest assured, in the over two years of this journal, I have only posted two illustration that might be considered offensive and you jumped on right as I posted the second one. I can promise it will never happen again (or at least not for another two years) and I will return to drawing puppies and rainbows. I also find it funny that for a guy who has a kid sticking his middle finger out at the reader on the front page of his website should be offended by any art, but oh well.
